Meet Christine – Emerging Architect, Researcher, and Educator.
Christine is a corporate member of the Uganda Society of Architects. She focuses on creating functional, thoughtful designs that respond to how people actually live in contemporary Uganda—balancing practicality with strong, visually compelling design.
Her work is grounded in urban mobility, spatial research, and the conservation of modern African architecture, which means she’s always thinking about how buildings connect to people, movement, and place.
Christine holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Makerere University, giving her a strong technical foundation for projects ranging from homes to commercial spaces—making sure they are well-planned, efficient, and well-sited from the start.
She has also worked as a Digital Fellow with DOCOMOMO (2021–2022), where she helped document and catalogue architecture across Ghana, Nigeria, Uganda, and Rwanda. That research continues to shape how she approaches design today, with a strong focus on preserving architectural value while supporting communities.
Alongside practice, Christine teaches at the Faculty of the Built Environment, Uganda Martyrs University, helping train the next generation of designers. She also contributes to the profession through her involvement as a committee member of the Board of Practice of the Uganda Society of Architects.
Across all her roles—as an architect, educator, and researcher—her focus remains the same: creating architecture that is grounded, considered, and meaningful for the context it exists in.
